I like Ross, but iono bout the other three. iono gotta hear more reviews first. Also for you J Dilla fans, another cd of the music genius' material dropped. But other than that, this week is dry. Since Royce Da 5'9"s Street Hop didn't sell too well, im assuming you still havent copped yet. Do yourself a favor. Check back next week for Crooked I....

Angels to battle Yanks in ALCS

Just to clarify everything, I did not just become an Angel fan this year, last year or anytime recent. I have been an Angels fan for a pretty long time actually. I even know most of their Minor League squad, the Salt Lake Bees. I'm dedicated, watch every game that comes on and i get alerts and all that shit. Now any who, I hate the Red Sox and the Yankees more than any other teams. The Red Sox have had the Angels number in the playoffs. The Angels lost to them in the ALDS two straight years and held the lead of the game for a total of 7 innings in the whole series. WOW, 7 innings???? That is horrible, it was like they didn't show up. This year things changed, the Angels came ready. Thanks to DOMINANT pitching by John Lackey and Jared Weaver and the team actually getting hits and runs off Boston's two aces, Jon Lester and Josh Beckett, in the first two games led to a 2-0 series lead. (in the ALDS it is only a 5 game series, first to 3 wins is in) So, me being realistic, figured that since the next two games were in Boston, Fenway Park, which might be quite possibly the hardest place to play, I figured that a sweep would not be possible but i figured they would still pull it out in Game 4 or 5. Well, they proved me wrong. Vlad Guerrero, who happens to be my favorite player, sealed the deal with a game winning single with two outs in the 9th innings against Papelbon. 7-6 victory takes the Angels to the New York to play the Yankees on Friday. Angels i really believe have the better team, but it will be a tough 7 game series. Beating the Red Sox and Yankees in the same postseason will just make my year. I feel this is a team of destiny seriously. Nick Adenhart, started the third game of the season for the Angels, and was killed by a drunk driver after the game. This team is riding on emotions and wants to win it for Nick. I honestly think they are gonna do just that. Stay tuned.

look i know i said Drew Brees was the MVP after week one, look the guy might still win it. But, the way Peyton Manning is playing, there is no way he doesn't win it. I honestly thought that since Coach Dungy retired, Marvin Harrison was gone, Joseph Addai looked like he forgot how to run the ball and Anthony Gonzalez got hurt week one, i thought the Colts would have there ups and downs. Wow, was i wrong. 5 straight 300 yard passing games with 12 TD's!!!!!! That is ridiculous, especially since all his pass catchers are unproven besides Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark. So I have officially changed my pick, Peyton Manning, MVP of this year!

Dr. Dre made it official, no Detox in 09. This a major bummer. I actually thought there was a possible chance but I guess not. Hopefully this means "Before I Self Destruct" and "Relapse 2" will b that much better. It sucks when you hear leaked tracks and posts by Game's twitter. Hopefully this just means a classic album will be made in the long run.

This week Joe Budden drops "Escape Route" as a disc. First came out only digitally but, it is now in stores. The CD is Joe Budden at his best and even includes a track with Slaughterhouse. Go buy this now!!!!

The only other cd I saw was Saigon finally dropped something but, i'm gonna give that a pass. Now for movies, nothing really seemed to catch my eye. "Year One" came out, but i recommend u rent before u buy on this one. Movie was ok, had some funny parts.

Justin Verlander, a ODU alumni, helped his Tigers force a one game playoff against the Twins on Tuesday for the AL Central title and a first round meeting with the New York Yankees. Verlander pitched 7 2/3 innings, gave up 3 runs and got 5 Strikeouts to finish the season with a American League leading 269 K's!!! He finishes the year with a 19-9 record with a 3.45 ERA. With his AL leading 19 wins you would think he would be a clear cut Cy Young Award recipient, but with Zack Greinke's crazy year that pretty much destroys his chances.

Even though i don't like the Tigers, i'm pullin for them in the game against the Twins. Either way, ODU is represented well!

Well i went and saw the movies i grew up on last night in theaters again. The only difference is this time it was in 3-D. A double feature for the price of one is not too shabby. I recommend you go see it because it is just classic. Now for my favorite part....

my homies up in good ol' Richmond put me on to this spot called Rumors. Well we all know the way Plato's Closet works. Most of the time they don't want any of your shit and the one shirt they do want, they will give u a whopping $1.60. : ( but anywho, think of a better Plato's, that is Rumors. Not only do they buy pretty much anything from backpacks, sneakers, shirts to even vinyls!!! I had some stuff with me from my last Plato's failure and thought before i leave, let me finally make my way over to Rumors. So normally, if Plato's takes some shirts and stuff, you would be lucky to get $20. Well Rumors took some beat up AF1's from my 10th grade year lol and like 5 shirts from 11th grade and gave me $33. I was amazed. So i scooped up some brand new Red Wayfarers for free and got a tee. Wow, $110 pair of shades for free and a Fucking Awesome shirt??? yea Rumors is dope, even carry some indie brands. But if you are ever in the greater Richmond area, make a stop over on Harrison St. Yea and it took a total of like 3 minutes for them to find the stuff they wanted. : )
